Easter Octave – Two More Hymn Prelude Recordings

On Saturday 26th April, I played a new Fantasia on ‘This Joyful Eastertide’, written during the preceding week and dedicated to our parish priest, Fr John Schofield. Unfortunately there were technical issues with the recording I made, so I wasn’t able to post it.

However, I returned to church today to re-recorded it – here is the result:

I also recorded a prelude on the hymn tune ‘Slane’ (Be Thou My Vision), written earlier this year and dedicated to my long time friend, Paul Fogarty. Unfortunately, the key action noise is slightly louder than I expected, but just pretend that it is the sound of a proper tracker action instrument…
