I Sing Of A Maiden

For (up to) 3 equal voices and keyboard accompaniment

Originally written in 2005 for unaccompanied voices, this setting of the Middle English Lyric uses a simple melody – in canon when sung by more that one voice – to set up a meditative air as we contemplate the mystery of the nativity. A simple keyboard accompaniment both adds to this atmosphere and supports the voices unobtrusively throughout.
