It seems to me that our current curriculum prepares children for shows like Mastermind and University Challenge – can you regurgitate the correct information when asked?
But life seems more like a heady mix of Only Connect and Taskmaster – sometimes there’s a correct answer hidden in amongst all the random information, but most of the time you just have to improvise and enjoy the ride.
So why do we not prepare children for this?
